It's a new Rotary year and yesterday evening Saint City Rotary held its changeover dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion in St. Albert. We were treated to a sumptuous buffet prepared by Kelley Catering and honoured several of our members as well as presenting our annual Integrity Award. It was outgoing president Diane Ellis's birthday so of course we had a birthday cake for her. Diane presented Kathleen Soltys with our Rotarian Year of the Year Award and paid special recognition to outgoing secretary and charter member Linda Perras, During her twenty one years with the club Linda has served in almost all the executive positions, including president, treasurer, and most recently several years as secretary. Also honoured was outgiong treasurer Bonnie Huckabay, who has served in that position since she joined the club in 2011. Pauline Vaugeois was presented with the Cliff Dochterman Scouting Award, in recognition of her many years of service to the Girl Guide movement. Our annual Integrity Award was presented to Cheryl Dumont, tireless community worker, by Vocational Services Director Chad Hierlmeier. Incoming president Julius Buski and his new board are looking forward to an exciting year of Serving to Change Lives!
